Teenage Mutant Ninja Pasta

This pasta fusion dish flavors hearty whole-wheat spaghetti with creamy avocado, tart lime and fresh cilantro. Your little chef will have a blast mashing the avocado in quick and tasty dinner.  This recipe comes to us from Jamie of A Healthy JD.

Adult: Put a large pot of salted water over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions.

Kid: Mash the avocado in a small bowl, with a fork or wooden spoon.

Together: Mix the mashed avocado with the minced garlic until the “sauce” reaches desired tenderness.

Kid: Squeeze the lime over the pasta.

Adult: Toss the pasta with the cilantro and season with a dash of salt. Divide into 6 portions and enjoy!
